Terms of service

Draft for review

This text is a draft of 2026-09-30, written for the operator to review with counsel. It is not legal advice and has not been reviewed by a lawyer; until it is, it describes how the hub works, not a binding agreement.

These terms govern your use of this hub — the website at https://mousemouse.ai, its API at https://api.mousemouse.ai, and the lucen, lucen-mcp and lucen-device tools when they talk to it. "We" means the operator of this hub; "you" means the person or organisation using it.

1. The service

The hub stores robot datasets, models and robot descriptions; records and runs training jobs; scores policies in simulation; and records a person's consent before a policy may run on a robot. Parts of it run only where this deployment has the backend for them (cloud GPUs, the Training Coach's model); where it does not, the hub says so rather than pretending.

2. Accounts and API keys

  • You sign in through our identity provider. Keep your account and your API keys secret: anything done with your key is done by you.
  • Keys are scoped (read, write, train). Give an agent or a script the narrowest scope that works. No key can create another key, and no key can approve a policy onto a robot.
  • We may suspend a key or an account that breaks these terms or the acceptable use policy, or that endangers the service or other people.

3. Your content

  • You keep every right you have in what you upload: datasets, models, robot descriptions, configs, logs and anything else.
  • You give us the permission we need to run the service with it: to store, copy, process, render and transmit it, to compute digests and previews, to run it in simulation when you ask, and to show public repositories to anyone. Private repositories are shown only to you and the members you share them with.
  • You are responsible for having the right to upload what you upload, including the rights of people who appear in camera data.

4. Licences of content on the hub

Each repository's own licence (its LICENSE file or the licence stated on its card) governs what others may do with it. A repository without a licence is not licensed for reuse just because it is visible. Third-party models and meshes keep their own licences.

5. Physical robots — safety and responsibility

Read this section before you connect a robot.

  • You operate your robot; we do not. The hub records a person's approval and hands a signed, time-limited token to the driver running on your robot. Whether a policy runs, and everything that happens when it does, is the responsibility of the robot's operator.
  • A person must be present. Approve a policy onto a robot only when you are at the robot, or someone is, with a hardware emergency stop within reach, and the space around the robot is clear of anyone who has not agreed to be there.
  • The hub's hold and stop are software, not a safety system. The driver's fail-safe (holding on a late chunk, stopping at the end of an approval window, the watchdog) runs in user-space software on a general-purpose computer, over networks that fail. It is not certified to any functional safety standard and must never be relied on to prevent injury or damage. Your robot's own safety systems — its e-stop, torque limits and controller limits — are what stand between a bad policy and harm.
  • A passed sim gate is not a safe policy. Simulation results, Training Coach advice, an agent's recommendation and any checkpoint we trained describe behaviour in simulation or on someone else's robot. A policy can behave differently, and dangerously, on real hardware.
  • Agents ask; a person decides. An agent may request a deployment; only a signed-in person can approve it, and that approval is your decision.
  • You are responsible for complying with the laws, regulations and workplace rules that apply to operating your robot.

6. Acceptable use

Use of the hub is subject to the acceptable use policy.

7. Paid features

Prices and what is metered are on the pricing page. We have no payment processor yet, so nothing is charged to a card today; if that changes, we will tell you before anything is charged.

8. Reports and takedown

To report content that infringes your rights, breaks the acceptable use policy or is unsafe, write to the address on the contact page with: the URL of the repository or page; what is wrong and, for copyright, the work you own; your contact details; and a statement that the report is accurate. We may remove or restrict content while we look at a report, and we tell the uploader so they can respond.

9. Changes, availability and ending

The service is in early access. It may change, be unavailable, or lose data; keep your own copies of anything you cannot lose. We may change these terms and will show the date of the latest change at the top of this page. You may stop using the hub at any time; ask us on the contact page to delete your account.

10. No warranty, limited liability

The hub is provided as is, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for any injury, damage or loss arising from operating a robot with a policy obtained, trained, evaluated or approved through the hub.

11. Governing law

To be decided by the operator before this draft is published.
